Innovative FlexGel mattresses that actually do the thinking for you!
Adapting instantly to the microclimate of your body. FlexGel mattresses regulate both temperature & moisture. They offer amazing pressure & allergy relief which all leads to the ultimate in sleep comfort!

Whatever the exterior environment, the Outlast® material in the mattress cover interacts with the unique microclimate of the human body to moderate the temperature extremes that can hinder great sleep.

So effective you can feel it working instantly, FlexGel itself is a revolutionary cellular material providing medically proven pressure release, plus superior airflow, breathability and hyper-allergenic benefits. It has been the subject of a number of research studies on better sleep and spinal alignment conducted in conjunction with the Centre for Spinal & Medical Research at Macquarie University in Sydney.

FlexGel moulds itself to the contours of your body allowing minimal partner disturbance as well as superior comfort and support. This effect is then enhanced with Outlast®, an adaptive system that manages body heat to ensure the ideal sleeping environment.

Originally developed to protect astronauts against extreme temperature fluctuations in space, the system cleverly absorbs body heat when you’re too hot and releases it when you’re too cold to maintain an effective comfort zone.

More comfort is assured via:
Adaption to body temperature
• Less overheating
• Less sweating
• Less chill
• Active temperature regulation

Everyone’s sensitivity to temperature changes is different, yet Outlast® is sophisticated enough to adapt itself to the requirements of more than one person.

Think comfort
Thinking more intelligently, the FlexGel range relies on an inspired mix of not one, but two technologically advanced materials to deliver ultimate comfort & addresses many common barriers to a good night’s sleep.

Think Health

Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia (fi-bro-my-AL-ja) syndrome (FMS) produces chronic body-wide pain, which migrates and can be felt from head to toe. Fibromyalgia can occur at any age and tends to fluctuate from hour to hour and day to day. A good night’s sleep can do wonders. Unfortunately, a common symptom of FMS is poor quality sleep, called the alpha-delta sleep anomaly, where as soon as you reach a level of deep delta sleep, alpha brain waves bump you back to shallow sleep. The body needs delta sleep to do its repair work.
No mattress can make a claim to cure this painful ailment however people have reported better quality sleep when they sleep on materials like latex and FlexGel.

Medical pressure relieving technology provides a dramatic visual demonstration of how pressure is relieved to help provide deeper delta sleeping on a FlexGel mattress.

Menopause
Menopause typically occurs in a woman’s late 40’s to early 50’s. Approximately 75-85% of menopausal women experience hot flashes, which can last for five years. Hot flashes and sweating can make it difficult to sleep. According to the National Sleep Foundation, approximately 61% of menopausal women have sleep problems. Sleeping difficulties can lead to other problems, such as daytime drowsiness.

FlexGel has two great health benefits which can help some of the symptoms of Menopause.

The temperature regulating benefits of the OUTLASTTM fabric developed for NASA combats hot flashes to help provide a more comfortable night’s rest. Every movement on FlexGel products gently distributes air throughout the mattress resisting mattress heat build-up.

Pregnancy
Pregnancy is an exciting and physically demanding time. Physical symptoms (body aches, nausea, leg cramps, fetus movements and heart-burn), as well as emotional changes (depression, anxiety, worry) can interfere with sleep. 78% of women reported more disturbed sleep during pregnancy than at other times although some women have few sleep problems. Sleep related problems also become more prevalent as the pregnancy progresses. One recent study reported that changes in sleep occur in 13-20% of women in the first trimester and increase to 66-90% by the third trimester.

FlexGel products relieve pressure on your muscles as well as allowing better circulation to the sleeper. This combination of benefits will provide excellent comfort during and after pregnancy! ...not too hot ...not too cold ...just rightTM

Allergies
Allergic rhinitis occurs when allergens in the air are breathed by a patient that is allergic to them, irritating and inflaming the nasal passages. Allergens may include dust mites, pollen, molds, or pet dander. In people who are allergic to them, these particles trigger the release of a chemical in the body that causes nasal congestion, sneezing, watery eyes, and runny nose. These symptoms can lead to poor sleep, which can result in significant daytime sleepiness and fatigue.

Every FlexGel product is inherently more breathable than traditional sleep products. Each body movement results in a burst of freshness within the mattress.

The FlexGel 3000 is a natural latex based product. Our latex is allergen resistant and repels most of the major causes of allergies within a typical mattress.

Partner Disturbance
This is a common situation with couples particularly when the weight of each person varies to a significant degree. The most common causes include the disturbance created when one partner gets into the bed consequently disrupting the sleep of the other and when one partner turns in their sleep, particularly when this is a common occurrence during the night.

The unique design of FlexGel creates an individualised zone for each sleeper to relieve the effects of partner disturbance.

The FlexGel 3000 offers the best in individualised support as a result of the combination of FlexGel and natural latex.

Spinal Alignment
FlexGel by AH Beard was designed to work with multiple sleeping support technologies, (Springs/Foam/Latex) so depending on your body type and comfort preference there’s a FlexGel product that will work for you.

Not enough research has been done to understand the sleeping surface, but it is clear that it plays a role in getting a good night’s sleep. For example, tossing and turning on a lumpy 15-year-old mattress that doesn’t provide support for your back or neck can impede you from getting the sleep you need and make you very sleepy (and stiff) the next day.

Too often consumers believe that ultra-firm mattresses are good for them, but research on patients with back pain found this was not true and a more supple, comforting mattress may lead to better sleep.
